Weekend in Logan

Amy's youngest sister, Cassie, came for a visit during her spring break this week. We went straight up to Logan (she is planning on becoming an interpreter) and visited with Jon & Taylor. We were blessed to have Cristina, Ian, & Atley come. Cadence got to meet so many family members for the first time.

& Austin woke up with the worst bedhead!!We had a great time even though we ended up staying an extra day because of the snowstorm. We were so exhausted by the end of it all. Amy and Cadence both ended up with colds. It was a fun trip, but time to get back to everyday life!

Rolling Over!

Cadence has rolled over before, but never consistently. He's doing a good job and getting close on his own, but with a little encouragement from daddy and help of gravity, he can do it! He has fun playing lots of little games like this now. Enjoy!

Uncle Shane & his neice & nephew

Austin's youngest brother Shane is only a year older than Cadence! Here he is - the young little uncle! At first he was jealous of the attention his mommy gave to Cadence. After adjusting to one baby, he seemed pretty confused there were two in the picture! Now, he loves to hold the babies and share toys with them. He even gets concerned when they cry. How cute!

Shane looked at Cadence then back at me & spoke. I responded, "No he can't play. He's sleeping". But he wanted to play, so he decided to take matters into his own hands.


He yelled loud and woke Cadence up, looked at me, then smiled as he spoke, & walked over to the cradle!

WELCOME Sadi Evalyn Hatch

Taylor & Jon came to see us this weekend for their Spring Break.

We all took a trip on Friday to see our newest neice (cousin for Cadence) Sadi Evalyn Hatch.


Born March 12th, 2009 to Andy & Jaylyn Hatch she was 6 lbs, 5 oz, and 19 in long. We couldn't believe how much bigger Cadence was - just 2 months older! They grow so fast!

Smart Kid

We have such a smart kid! Check out this inventive way to get the pacifier back into his mouth (he has also used his hand to hold it in before).

We tried to get a video of his sermon on the temple but it was fruitless. Austin held him up to the picture and he just kept talking! When I turned on the camera he stopped immediately. Guess it was a lecture for mom and dad!

Baby showers bring bloggin' flowers...

We had 2 baby showers - a friend Holly Loomis and our sister Jaylyn Hatch. We couldn't be to both (one in Provo and one in Logan at the same time) so we went to the family one. Amy helped with Holly's beforehand by making a pull apart (cupcake) ducky cake and making invitations with Elise Thompson. Feeling creative, she also made Sadi (Jaylyn's baby) a diaper cake. Sadi will be born next Thursday in the evening! Congrats!

Our friend Jordan Hix

Went to a concert at Border's bookstore 2 weekends ago. Cadence got all bundled up for the occasion (and though he looks really cute, he actually hated it). Jordan Hix & his friend were singing different tunes (Jordan was in Austin's ward growing up). Cadence was pretty fussy 'cause it was almost bed. Jordan sang him right to sleep!! SPRING!

It snowed yesterday in Provo - after being about a month without! Can you believe it? Well, despite that I had a great excuse to completely skip winter this year, I am really excited for the spring to come. Today is GORGEOUS! This new background made me think of spring. I just scrolled as fast as I could until one hit me. Don't ask one, but I hope it makes you feel that spring is in the air! ~Amy
P.S. It also makes me think of my dad, who's birthday is sometimes in the winter, sometimes spring! Let's hope for the spring this year!
